AMFIU would like to announce to all esteemed members that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for this year is scheduled to take place on 21st June 2024 at Hotel Africana in Kampala, starting at 8:30 AM. The theme for this year’s AGM is ‘Strengthening the microfinance sector through enhanced capacity development and funding initiatives’. As part of the agenda, the following key presentations will be delivered:
- Presentation on capacity building for the microfinance sector by the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services (UIBFS)
- Presentation on selecting the appropriate digital solution for your institution by the Financial Technologies Providers Association (FITSPA)
- Introduction to new funding opportunities from Stanbic Bank and PSFU – GROW Project
Furthermore, there will be elections for the positions of Board President (Open to Tier 1 – 3), 2 representatives for SACCOs, and 1 Associate Member.
